CHAPTER 33 –

Daddy! Mummy! Father Ayo! Please I want you to come with me to the ward where my friend’s mum is being admitted.
She has been unconscious for so many days.
I really want us to pray for her together.
. I believe that God will lay His mighty hand upon her and give her total healing. Ade pleaded with them all.
There is no problem at all my boy.
However, I’m in a hurry to meet a friend who is waiting for me in the orphanage. I will spare some minutes to pray for her.
I believe God in His infinite mercy will take absolute control. Father Ayo replied.
Where is the ward son? Let’s go quickly because delay is very dangerous.
We must not give the devil any chance at all. Elder Emmanuel asked with great concern.
It’s upstairs Daddy.
They all walked together with smiles on their faces as they climbed the stairs to the ward where Ayo’s mum was being admitted.
Mrs. Emmanuel seemed to be the happiest of them all as she held her two children very tight.
To her, it seems like a dream but it is actually real.
This has always been her heart’s desire for so many years.
Who will ever think that she is the proud mother of these great children?
Indeed! The Lord has taken away her shame and reproach and has given her cause to laugh.
The tears of so many years have suddenly become uncontrollable joy and laughter. Oh! Thank you so much faithful father.
As they were still moving to the ward, Father Ayo’s phone rang and the call was an emergency from the doctor treating the patient he came to see earlier in the hospital.
He was asked to quickly meet the doctor in his office for an emergency discussion.
Oh! Please I am really sorry but I need to get to the doctor’s office.
It is an emergency situation. I will meet you in the ward once I’m through with the doctor.
No problem sir. Ade told him the room number where Ayo’s mum was admitted and father Ayo promised to join them as soon as he was done talking with the doctor.
Ade, Tayo, and their parents walked into the hospital and they met Ayo sitting down on a stool holding his bible while sister Florence who has not gone home since the day she was told to go to the hospital by the Holy Spirit was patting the back of Ayo’s sister as she rests her head on Sister Florence’s lap.
Immediately Ayo saw Ade, he dropped his bible on the stool and ran to meet him at the door.
As Ade was about to hug Ayo, Ayo fell down on his knees in front of him thereby making Ade and his parents look very surprised.
I have wronged you so much, my dear friend.
I had betrayed our friendship all because of greed.
I never heed your advice because of my desperation for the things of the world.
I am sorry for abusing you and calling you all sorts of names.
I am sorry for not standing as that friend which you have always wished for.
I am deeply sorry for all my wrongs my dear friend. Please forgive me.
It’s alright my dear Ayo. I have forgiven you long ago.
Honestly, I hold nothing against you, my dear brother.
I knew it was never your doing but the strategy of the enemy.
I am so grateful to God for saving your soul from the plans of the wicked against your life.
Jesus did it all. His mercies spoke for you and I am truly grateful to Him.
He is the one that deserves all your praise and all glory must be ascribed to Him.
He loves you so much my dear brother and that is why even in your weakness and unfaithfulness, He never turned away from you.
All thanks to Abba Father. He alone is worthy to be praised.
Yes! I am grateful to my savior who has given me another chance to live right.
Many that made mistakes like mine are nowhere to be found today but His mercies kept me. All praise to the Most High God.
I am also grateful to you my dear friend for your unceasing prayers over me.
You stood in the gap and interceded for my soul.
Thank you for being a true friend. Thank you for not turning your back on me rather you went on your knees for my sake.
I must say that your prayers for me even moved God the more to help me.
You proved what it truly means to be a Christian.
You could have wished me a lot of evil because of what I did to you or you could have forsaken me but you prayed for my restoration and God answered your prayers.
God bless you abundantly. You shall reap your reward, my dear brother.

Ayo turned around and saw Elder and Mrs. Emmanuel standing behind Ade.
Oh! Please forgive my manners sir and ma.
I was so carried away. Good day sir and ma.

You are indeed a wonderful elder of the church. Thanks for coming once again sir and ma.

Ade also recognized Sis Florence and greeted her as well.

Sister Florence who has been watching them replied Ade with a smile.

Ayo! I have good news for you.
Please meet my biological parents and sister.
Ade stood in between and held his daddy and mummy on their shoulder while his sister held his own shoulder as well.
What! What did you say, Ade? You mean Elder and Mrs. Emmanuel are you biological parents? How? Please talk to me. Oh! This God is mighty.
I know you are shocked to hear this but that is the truth, my dear friend.
God has finally reunited me with my blood again who I thought were dead. These are the people God used as a vehicle to bring me to this world.
Don’t worry my dear friend, I will give you the full gist later.
Now I want us to pray for your mum.
I believe God in His mercy will restore her back.

Elder Emmanuel who has been enquiring silently in his heart from the Holy Spirit about the cause of the sickness and how they should pray for the woman cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention.
I am grateful to God for everything He has done already and for what He is about to do.
I know you have prayed for so many days and that the doctors have tried their own best but I am here to announce to you that the Lord is set to do what no man can do.
Hmmm! Bro Ayo! The Lord caused all these to happen to your mum just to save your soul.
He used this sudden sickness of your mum to deliver you from the trap the enemy has already prepared for you.
I know it looked like a bad occurrence but for everything that happens in life, there is a reason why God allowed it.
This was done by God to draw you back to Himself and to scatter all the finished plans of the wicked ones.
You would have been a dead man today or a madman walking on the street but God in His infinite mercy used His wisdom to deliver you.
We are not going to pray now but we are going to worship God with a song. As we sing that song, the power of God will move powerfully and restore your mum again.
Amen! I believe in God Almighty. Ayo responded.
Elder Emmanuel began to sing a song while others including his wife joined him in singing the song.

They all held their hands together and continued to sing with their eyes closed and suddenly, the mighty power of God came down.
They all felt a cool breeze in the ward and Ayo’s sister together with Tayo fell under the powerful anointing of God as they blasted in tongues.
Others continued singing and immediately they heard someone speaking faintly.
Thank you, father! Thank you, Jesus! I love you, father! I am grateful to you Father.
They all stopped praying and then they found Mum Ayo with her eyes open thanking God.
Oh! Mummy! You are awake again. Jesus, you are worthy. None to be compared with you. Glory be to your name faithful father. Adonai I worship you.
Ayo and his younger sister hugged their mum as both mother and children shed tears of Joy while others in the ward continued waving their hands to God giving Him thanks for everything he has done.
Almost immediately, Father Ayo entered the ward but got the greatest shock of his life when he saw mum Ayo on the bed.
Mum Ayo was shocked as well as she saw him. They both called each other’s name at the same time
Esther!
Ayoola!
No! This is not you Ayoola. You are a ghost. You died many years ago. This is not you Ayoola. I can’t believe this. You are dead Ayoola. Mum Ayo spoke with a trembling voice.
Esther, is this really you? I have searched everywhere for you Esther.
Everyone in the ward looked very confused at the drama displayed in front of them.
After some minutes, elder Emmanuel spoke to know what was going on.
Ayoola! What is going on here? Do you know this lady before? Please say something and stop keeping silent.
Yes, my dear friend. This is the same Esther back in our campus days. The one I was dating back then in school before I gave my life to Christ.
What! This is unbelievable. The same Esther I know? Esther Balogun?
Very correct. This is Esther.
Oh! What a world. Indeed! This world is a small place. Elder Emmanuel responded looking very shocked like his friend.
Esther! This is Emmanuel Oluwatobi! The one you always refer to as my twin brother.
What! Emmanuel! Oh! Is this you?
Mummy, what is going on here? I don’t understand what is happening. Please explain to us. We are all confused. Ayo asked with so much curiosity.
Hmmm! Ayo my son. It’s a very long story. But the summary of it all is that this is your biological Father.
What! My Father? How come? I don’t understand? Do I have two fathers? What about the one that died when my younger sister was a kid?
That is why I said it’s a long story my dear but I will explain to you briefly.
Wait a minute Esther! You mean this is my son? How? You never told me that you were pregnant for me.
Hmm! Yes Ayoola. I never did but it wasn’t intentional because I wasn’t aware myself.
I confirmed that I was pregnant the day you called me that you would be attending your friend’s wedding. I wanted to tell you about the news but I was scared because we broke up already a week ago when you told me that you were now a born again and would not be able to continue with the relationship.
Since we have graduated and are now living in distant areas, I thought about it and decided to accept the breakup even though I was still deeply in love with you.
That particular day I called, I wanted to tell you about the pregnancy but you were very excited about the wedding of your friend and how you would dance and stand as the Groom’s man.
I was so ashamed of talking about the pregnancy at that point so I decided to tell you after your friend’s wedding.
Immediately I finished speaking with you, the thought of abortion came to my mind because I felt that I wasn’t ready to bear a child at that point.
So I decided to abort the baby and never to inform you about it but the Lord who has been so merciful used the lady who was living with me at that time to talk to me.
Though I never told her anything about my pregnancy but the Holy Spirit spoke through her to me. It was like a prophecy to me. I was warned not to abort the child because the child was never an accident or a mistake even though the circumstance behind his existence is not a Godly one.
She told me to bear the child and God will take care of him for me.
I broke down in tears and pleaded for mercy. That was the day I gave my own life to Christ and since then, God has been merciful.
Two days later after the wedding, I was ready to inform you about my pregnancy Ayoola, but I got the shock news. I was told that you were involved in a fatal accident which claimed your life and other passengers as well.
Oh! I was depressed. I cried for months until I gave birth to the baby. So I decided to name him after his father. I called him Ayoola which is pronounced as Ayo for short.
I later got married to the father of my daughter who accepted Ayo as his own child but whose family never accepted me due to the fact that I was a single mother.
Unfortunately, he died a few moments after I gave birth to my daughter. Mum Ayo breathed down.
That is the story of Ayoola senior and Ayoola junior. She said pointing to both father and son.
Ayo looked at his mother for some minutes tears running down from his eyes and with a full speed, he ran towards his dad and hugged him tightly while his younger sister with tears as well ran to father Ayo and hugged him too.
Father Ayo who is now weeping profusely held his children in his hands and hugged them with so much love. He looked up and began to speak.
Lord! Today, you have made my joy complete. Today you have fulfilled your promise over my life Father. I thought I would never have my own biological child since you never permitted me to marry another woman but today it is a great story entirely.
At first, I was so sad and thought you were partial but now I truly understand. Thank you Father for you have not only given me a child but two lovely children.
Thank you for your unfailing love over my life Lord.
Father Ayo appreciated God as he and his children went close to the bed where Mum Ayo who was also weeping all hugged each other.
All glory be to your name Father for all that you have done. Elder Emmanuel and others praised God together.
